I just tried comparing with manual coding vs smowcode with very basic output projects with no comm protocol. (Image 1)
Yes !! no difference
**The Catch**
just add Input and comm protocols you start watching difference !!!(following Images 2,3,4).
anyways yet to impliment few of on real hardware.

The time difference between codes created using general C and Smowcode is shown negligible because of the nature of easy to use peripherals. Peripherals like GPIO, util and such don’t time to create in ESP32 or many other microcontroller types.
Majority issues begin occuring in complex communication protocols and peripherals.
This is the reason why you are observing such differences
